Wood Spoon Carving Virtual Workshop

Swedes have been utilizing wood for centuries and in this introduction workshop, wood carving specialist Karl Newman will teach participants how to craft the utensil from raw materials in the hemslöjd tradition. The workshop fee includes a spoon blank but students must acquire their own carving tools. $45 for members and $55 for nonmembers.

Carving tools recommend are Morakniv straight knife #120 and curved knife # 164 (with left and right hand options). They can be purchased at Morakniv.se or from HighlandWoodworking.com
