Reverend Dr. Kim-Eric Williams will give a talk on the story behind the publication of the nine-volume set Colonial Records of Swedish Churches in Pennsylvania. Afterward, club members can discuss and share their resource sources and utilize the Nord Library for further research.
Start your Christmas celebrations by indulging in a Swedish holiday smörgåsbord prepared by Jeffrey A. Miller Catering. Your favorites will be a spread to remember, including the Christmas ham, herrings, meatballs, salads, and bread. A selection of ASHM Christmas Market vendors will be open from 5-7 pm, so you can shop while you enjoy a drink and some hors d'oeuvres before dinner. Then enjoy some glögg and Swedish pepparkaka between the tours. We are offering two tour time slots at 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm. This year Smith Memorial Playground is hosting CraftNOW Create outside on their beautiful campus Saturday, November 5, from 10 am-1 pm. Demonstrations and take-home kits will be set up on their wrap-around porch and immediately in front of the Playhouse.
