What the Vikings Left Behind (ages 6-12): How can we learn about Vikings when they lived over 1000 years ago? Join us as we take a journey back to the age of the Vikings using the archaeology of Viking burial mounds and other sites. Kids will have the chance to try out archaeological tools and even make their own runestones using the Viking alphabet as we learn about Viking culture through what the Vikings left behind.
Little Archaeologists (ages 2-6): Dig into the past as we try out being archaeologists! Learn about archaeology and museums as we get a hands-on look at archaeology through a storytime, archaeological tool exploration, and a mini dig site.
