Did you know that ASHM was established at a time when radios were considered cutting-edge technology, eggs cost 56 cents a dozen, and Henry Ford had just introduced the five-day, 40-hour workweek? Founded in 1926 during the United States' 150th anniversary celebration, ASHM has spent the last century bearing witness to the defining moments of the modern era and welcoming hundreds of thousands of visitors, including notable figures such as Charles Lindbergh and Liv Ullmann.

On the 16th, explore the Museum's remarkable history with ASHM Curator Brett Peters. Discover some of the most significant moments in the Museum's past—from royal visits to transformative object acquisitions—and go behind the scenes of ASHM's newest exhibition, A Century in the Making: 100 Years of ASHM.
