Together with the Finnish American Society of the Delaware Valley, ASHM will be hosting a film screening of the 2005 film Äideistä Parhain “Mother of Mine”. The film explores the complicated history of Finnish children who were evacuated to Sweden during World War II through the story of a 9 year old boy. Visitors will have the additional opportunity to learn more about this topic from the exhibition The Finnish Cause is Ours: Finnish War Children in Sweden 1939-1945. This event is free for FASDV and ASHM members, and included with general admission for nonmembers.
