The American Swedish Historical Museum is happy to announce new semi-virtual Homeschool Workshops! Our first theme workshop is on the New Sweden Colony! Come learn about Pennsylvania colonial history in the Delaware Valley and the influence of the New Sweden Colony. This program is designed for families with children in grades K-6 who homeschool or are learning at home virtually. Families will receive a link for a pre-recorded lesson to watch prior to visiting. Families can then attend the workshop day that includes hands-on activities and time to self-tour the museum. The New Sweden Colony is an important topic to cover in learning about Pennsylvania state history. Participants will learn about the colony, their trade and relationship with the Lenape, and the daily life of the settlers. The program cost is $5 per child, (accompanying adults are free) and pre-registration is required. Follow the link below to register.
