About National Museum of Finland:

The National Museum of Finland is a national cultural history museum. It maintains and develops its collections as a source of research and use of cultural heritage and provides exhibitions and museum services in ten locations throughout Finland. The National Museum of Finland is part of the Finnish Heritage Agency and together we have the oldest and most comprehensive cultural history collections in Finland with half a million historical artefacts and approximately a million prehistorical objects. The collections illustrate Finnish history, folk culture and the culture of Finno-Ugric peoples as well as world cultures from various parts of the world. The National Museum of Finland also documents contemporary culture in Finland and exhibits the prehistorical times of the area.

Our program consists of permanent and temporary exhibitions, as well as events, guided tours and workshops. Many of the events are implemented in cooperation with partners and the public. Our goal is to bring interesting perspectives to culture and history for a diverse audience.
